Genting is preparing to begin the second phase of its £9.8m restoration at Westcliff Casino, which will revitalise the popular venue with a host of exciting upgrades and entertainment.

The 12-month project is on track and the casino is remaining open throughout the construction work, which includes replacing the casino roof and an extensive interior refurbishment. 

The building work began last January and has been phased to allow Westcliff’s loyal customers to continue enjoying the casino’s full offering during the project, including food and drink and a line-up of popular entertainment acts. Guests can enjoy a 2-for-1 offer on selected drinks, including draught beers and cocktails, until the end of July.

A stunning new reception area has now been unveiled to mark the second phase of the project. The refurbishment will also see the introduction of a brand-new Electronic Gaming Lounge with more slots and e-tables, as well as stylish new carpets and an upgraded internal look and feel throughout the venue.

A relaunch event is planned for Friday 22nd August, featuring live entertainment, fizz, and canapés throughout the evening. Highlights include the grand final of the All-In Roulette competition – which kicks off on 5th August – and the highly anticipated draw for the £50,000 Slots Free Play Giveaway. Guests can earn entries into the draw by visiting the casino and playing on slots or electronic tables.

Guests are reminded to book early for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, with packages expected to sell out quickly.

Looking ahead, a grand reopening is scheduled for Spring 2026, marking the full completion of the transformation.
