Airport's record-breaking job fair attracts nearly 1,500 jobseekers

London Stansted’s Radisson Blu Hotel was bustling with jobseekers as they attended the airport's highly anticipated autumn job fair on Wednesday, Oct 23. 

The event, which aimed to fill various positions across the airport, saw a record-breaking attendance of almost 1,500 jobseekers.

Organised by the airport, the job fair provided a platform for individuals to learn about the diverse range of career opportunities available. 

From customer service roles to technical positions, there were jobs available for people of all backgrounds and skill sets.

Almost 40 companies attended including MAG Stansted, Ryanair, Titan Airways, Border Force, Jet2.com, World Duty Free, Swissport and DHL.

Jennifer Crossling, Senior Education and Employment Manager, said: "We were delighted to see such a tremendous turnout at our job fair with 1,500 people attending the event. It's an exciting time for us as we continue to grow and expand, and we are delighted to offer so many new job opportunities."

Staff from the airport’s Education and Skills Academy also attended the event promoting free pre-employment courses, including fully accredited training schemes for those on job seekers allowance, or those who require additional support before applying for jobs.

London Stansted is the largest single site employer in the East of England with over 12,000 employees working in a wide range of roles. 

The airport is also currently undergoing a major transformation, creating even more job opportunities in the future.
